Show Me the Money...

Wow... Money... What a huge topic to cover. Money is probably the most sought after commodity on the planet. In fact, aside from love, money is the thing that human beings tend to want more than anything else. For most people, they believe that the acquisition of money will make all of their problems magically disappear. Other people bash on money because they carry a false limiting belief that money is the "root of all evil" and that only greedy people care about having it. There are so many different feelings about money from so many different people with just as many different opinions, that finding two who agree is a bit of an effort. Some have money and some don't. Those who don't want to get it and those who do want to keep it. Money is such a huge topic that it has been the defining force in the building and destroying of empires. It has been used to help people in need and to bring others to their knees. Money has made some people crazy and others completely happy... but through it all there is one certainty... it is a necessity to life in this world.

But what is money really? Is it paper currency? Is it gold, silver, or gemstones? Is it plastic wafers with magnetic strips? While money comes in all of those forms, those forms are an illusion of what money truly represents. The truth is that money is power... money is freedom... money is status. And whether a person wants to admit it or not, those factors are the reason why we want to acquire more if it. There are those who will say that money can't buy happiness and that money is not the driving force in their lives - and while these are very true statements, one still cannot deny that money is a necessity in this world and a driving force in life.

Definition of Wealth and Abundance

What is wealth and abundance to you? Does it mean freedom from having to work, yet still being able to enjoy life without concern over money? Does it mean having your life’s basic necessities covered, where you’re not worried about car or house payments anymore? Having more time to do the things you really want to do? Does it mean having a big home, nice cars, and your own private jet? Again, there are many different definitions depending on who you ask.  Wealth means different things to different people at different stages of life. It’s unique for every person. For a kid in high school, wealth may mean having a car and enough money to go on a nice date. In the middle stages of life, wealth can mean living in your dream house or the ability to care for children. In the latter stages of life it might mean not outliving your savings or traveling the world.

Many people are so overwhelmed by their idea of what it takes to reach their financial dreams that it prevents them from taking the necessary actions to achieve their goals. Others have more than enough money but rarely experience wealth - a place where they feel abundant, truly alive, and grateful; where they are no longer concerned about anything except enjoying life to its fullest and sharing their wealth to benefit others. They have money and resources, but they don’t actually feel wealthy.

Regardless of the level of wealth you want, you won’t get there until you actually know what wealth means to you. If you get caught up in somebody else’s definition of wealth, even if you reach that ambition, you could end up working every day of your life only to find out that you’re not actually enjoying your life, all to pursue some idea of happiness in the future that you may not even be sure about. So how do we get there? Below are some pointers.

One key to acquiring wealth and abundance is to first understand that no amount of money will ever make you wealthy. No amount of money will ever make you abundant. The secret to wealth is gratitude. Once you develop the mindset to appreciate life despite obstacles and challenges, then you can implement the formulas and strategies necessary to plant your money tree and create income for the rest of your life without having to worry. Then you will have the freedom to do the things that matter to you most

Yet another key to the acquisition of wealth and abundance is the realization that wealth is not just about finances. It’s about creating and sustaining joy, happiness, and that feeling of being truly alive, living that extraordinary life that we all want and deserve. Without happiness and joy, no amount of money will ever satisfy you. If you cannot be grateful for what you already have, you will never be happy with more... and that my friends is a cold, hard reality.

Limiting Beliefs

Since you were a very small child, you have been developing an attitude about money. This attitude has been influenced by your parents, siblings, cousins, grandparents, friends, teachers, society, television, and much much more. Maybe you have heard sayings like "People who have money were born into it". Or maybe you have heard others say "Rich people don't deserve the money they have". Or perhaps you feel that the acquisition of money will change who you are. Maybe you have a fear that you’ll lose the money foolishly after putting so much energy into manifesting it. Or maybe a fear that your life will become too complicated trying to manage the money. It could be a fear that your accounting and tax situation will become more complicated. Some people fear that money will strain their relationships with friends and family. Still others fear that the money will distract them from what’s most important in their lives. Some fear that managing money will be stressful... the list goes on and on. These are limiting beliefs that surround the acquisition of money and often prevent us from achieving the financial rewards that we deserve. In order to manifest the riches that you want, you must first identify and remove these limiting beliefs.

Another key to acquiring wealth and abundance is to believe in yourself. When you realize that you already possess the resources you need to bring your definition of wealth and abundance into reality, you will look at the world differently, you will make different decisions, and you will do the kinds of things that actually put you on the path toward the wealth you desire, without fear or doubt that you’ll reach your goals.

Provide Value

Another key to making more money is to raise the value of what you do. If you want more money then you need to provide more value to people and the world at large... Here is an example: A doctor makes more money than a cashier, why? Because the doctor provides more value to the world at large. It does not require a lot of skill to operate a cash register. I am not knocking cashiers here, it is a job that is very much needed in this world, but the truth is that most 16 year-old's can operate a cash register. Doctors on the other hand, provide a service that is necessary to the health and well-being of the human race. They dedicate themselves to their education and their skill, and provide a life saving service.

If you want to bring in more money, find a way to provide more value. Now a lot of people will say, "I never had the opportunity" or "I'm not as lucky". That is an excuse and a limiting belief. In reality we create our own opportunities and we create our own luck with our feelings, beliefs, actions, reactions, attitude, and everything else. by being who we are in a moment. Life has no remote control... you have to get up and change the channel yourself. If you want more money then you must provide more value... it is as simple as that. If you already have a job or career that provides value, then the goal becomes finding a way to maximize it.

Money Mindset

The acquisition of money is first and foremost a mindset, the psychology that gets you to where you want to be without being distracted by fear, obstacles, or any of life’s challenges. To get to that place of true financial freedom, we need to keep in mind one of life’s core lessons: to get beyond scarcity, you have to start beyond it. You have to redirect your focus away from what’s missing and onto all the reasons you can feel wealthy now. When you do this, you open yourself to attracting the material wealth you desire. Feelings of lack, absence, desperation, and disbelief will just attract more lack, absence, desperation, and disbelief. You must start beyond those feelings and gratitude (as mentioned above) is the best way to do that.

Mindset will carry you through those times when the mechanics of  attracting money are dull, frustrating, or tedious. If you can develop a mindset of resiliency within yourself, you give yourself many more opportunities to be successful. You become larger than anything that can happen to you, including any financial challenge you may face. The richer you think and feel, the more abundance you attract. And when you’re operating from that place of gratitude, it creates a different experience. The more successful, wealthy, and happy you become, the more momentum you gain. This momentum attracts other people to you who will add to that wealth with more deals, more opportunities, and more experiences that lead down the path to financial freedom. Wealth starts in the mind and heart. Once you’ve accepted and locked into that truth , the financial freedom that was once a dream now can become your reality.

Pay it Forward

Paying forward means to share your wealth and abundance with others without expectation for return or reward. Sometimes that means sharing your money but not always so... what it truly means is sharing your value (as described above). When you buy a stranger a coffee, or donate to a charity, or volunteer at a homeless shelter, you are in fact paying forward. You are releasing your grip on your abundance in order to allow more to flow to you. Paying forward with no expectation of reward or return is a great way to feel good about the money or value that you have and helps put you in a better mindset for attracting more.

If you give nothing, you gain nothing. As the old saying goes: no risk, no reward. By paying forward there really is no risk. You may lose $1.59 when you buy a stranger a coffee, but if you don't pay forward at all, you’ve already lost because you haven’t even given yourself a chance to experience the potential reward. You’ll never have a chance to build that momentum, and you’ll be less likely to experience financial freedom.

Release Your Grip

Many people grip onto their money so tightly that their knuckles turn white. They scrimp and save so much that they border on frugality, if not cross that border and apply for citizenship. The problem with this is that it is coming from a mindset of lack. you have to release and allow flow.

Have you ever noticed that someone who is hurting financially always seems to have the money to buy a pack of cigarettes? Logic would dictate that if they quit smoking they would save a lot of money that would ease their situation... but that logic is an illusion. The reason why the person always has the money for those cigarettes is because the person releases that money for that item, and by releasing, it is always replenished. This example works for anything in life. If you release, you allow room for flow. Here is an analogy... If you have a glass full of water, and you want more, then you have to empty some of the water to put more in... or get a bigger glass... either way, you have to release or make room.

These are just a few tips and things necessary to increasing your wealth and abundance. I hope this has helped you.

Happy Aligning!
