Keeping A Healthy Mindset Brings Better Health

I have people ask me often if I think that we can attract better health with our thoughts. I'm not talking about fitness, which certainly does help our health. I mean health, as in illness and disease. In short, the answer to that question is "yes". I thoroughly believe that we can manifest better health with our thoughts and feelings. After all, energy flows where our thoughts go. 

When we are experiencing an illness, disease, or another health issue, our thoughts tend to naturally focus on the discomfort of the predicament. That focus, in turn brings more discomfort. Sometimes controlling our thoughts and feelings during such times is quite difficult, especially if pain is involved. We have all had a cold at some point that seems like it will never go away. Or we've suffered a migraine headache so bad that it brought tears to our eyes. It is really hard to think about anything else. People who suffer from cancer, or some other painful disease have the same issue with controlling thoughts. They also have the same issue with attracting an unwanted result.

If we examine some of the ways that illness or disease come into our lives we can see how much of it is actually brought on by own own thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. Stress, anxiety, fear, doubt, and worry can break down our body's natural immune system and allow disease or illness to infect us. We attract the illnesses with those feelings.

Some "naysayers" will say "How did someone attract cancer? Nobody wants to attract that into their lives." That is a very true statement. It is attracted because somewhere, somehow, or sometime, a person felt and focused on something (probably unrelated) that caused their mindset and vibe to dip. When the person dipped to a certain level for too long, the illness was attracted because it was on the same frequency. This is Cause and Effect. The person was focused on stress, or fear (cause) for so long that the body weakened and allowed illness (effect). Then, the person focuses on the illness so much afterward that it lingers and worsens. The body responds to thoughts that are impressed upon it from the subconscious mind.

When an illness is contracted, many people take a very positive and optimistic approach. They begin to focus on healing. That is certainly the right track. It is much better than focusing on the illness. Focusing on healing helps attract healing energies and slowly the illness will turn around, or at least not progress any further, but focusing on healing is still focusing on the illness. Instead, a person should focus their thoughts and feelings toward releasing thoughts of the disease and replacing them with thoughts of good health and wellness. You can create positive physiological responses by experiencing emotions that you perceive to be happy, uplifting, and nurturing. This will bring into existence the conditions that you wish to have, including those that are consistent with vibrant, long-term health.

So what is a person to do? Should they reject modern medicine, reject science and other forms of healing for a philosophy that a positive mindset will negate or overcome the affliction. Of course not, that would be stupid and unwise. Like Dr. Demartini from "The Secret" stated: "If you are suffering from an acute situation that can bring death to you then medicine is a wise thing to do while you experience what the mind is about.  So you don’t want to negate medicine, because every form of healing has its place... Healing through the mind can work harmoniously with medicine.  If pain is involved, then medicine can help to eliminate that pain, which then allow the person to be able to focus with great force on health." 

There are many health institutions out there today that understand the power of thoughts and the healing abilities of our minds. Many are using Law of Attraction based philosophies in their treatment of such illnesses. The Cancer Treatment Centers of America uses many varieties of treatment, including LOA, to help a person achieve the proper mindset for recovery. Passages Malibu is an addiction treatment facility that uses a total Law of Attraction philosophy to cure people of addictions, and with a much higher success rate than any other similar facility.

So as you can see, you don't attract an illness or disease for thinking about "illness or disease", although that is certainly possible, it is the stress and other mindset factors that breaks the body down. That's why it is important to focus your thoughts on thoughts of positivity, love, happiness, abundance and prosperity to keep your body from ever manifesting disease.

So what should a person do if already inflicted with an illness or disease? Here are some tips that will help...

1. Set your intention - Identify specifically what you want. What is good health to you? You can’t just put a vague request out to the Universe that you want “good health” without identifying exactly what that means to you. You need to define what “answer” you are looking for, such as being free of cancer or migraines.

2. Visualize perfect health - Doing this will help you focus on the end result. Focus on anything else is a common mistake. Do not try to see the path to your well-being. It is not possible for you see the path between your condition and the solution. If you focus on trying to see a path that it is not possible for you to see, you will meet with very limited success, if any success at all.

3. Remove stress – Do your best to let go of all of the stressful situations in your life. This is your key to healing.  Do things that makes you happy. Watch movies that make you feel good, do yoga, play bongo drums, spend time at the beach, or whatever it is that makes you happy. Do this repeatedly. It helps take your mind off of your health issue and raises your vibration to a frequency to which the illness cannot thrive.

4. Focus less on healing - It is more beneficial to focus on health and wellness than to think of healing. Thoughts of healing are an improvement over thoughts of illness, but they are still centered on the problem. Give as much thought as possible to the wonderful way that you want to feel. Imagine yourself well and notice the change in your thought vibration.

5. Speak positively - Learning to speak positively, and being aware of what you are saying can go a long way toward raising you vibration. It helps because it forces you to choose your words wisely. Having to think about and choose your words forces you to evaluate your feelings, which in turn, offers you the opportunity to change how you feel... or in other words, raise your vibration.

6. Take action - When it comes to manifesting good health, this step is important. By realizing that it is not possible for you to see the path that is going to take you from illness to perfect health, this step becomes even more crucial. The Universe will line up both internal forces and external forces that will weave together for your benefit. Your job is to take whatever action you are inspired to take. This will likely include some doctor prescribed practices that could be part of your solution.

7.Be grateful - Celebrate your tiny victories along the path to healing. Thank the Universe for bringing those victories to you. Be grateful that you are still able to march on your path to better health. Be grateful for everything in your life.

Attracting good health is just like attracting anything else. You have decide exactly what you want, focus frequently on the feeling of having it, and then take whatever action you are inspired to take. That is the same equation for any situation in your life. Attracting better health is no different than attracting anything else. The only difference is in your mind. You can apply the same principles in order to live a long, healthy life.
