Life Coach Joe Vulgamore Speaks on Laziness
Procrastinating Your Future?

Do you ever feel lazy? Do you ever put off doing something because you don't feel like doing it? Of course you do... we all do. Why do we get lazy? Why do we put off doing the things that we know are important? We claim we are too tired, or that we need to think about it first, or some other excuse. But that's all the reasons really are... excuses.

An excuse for what? The answer to that is very simple. Laziness and Procrastination, no matter how you try to reason it, is an excuse to avoid something that we have a resistance to doing. We avoid doing something because we are not in vibrational alignment with it. The reason why we are not in alignment varies from person to person.

One person may put off housework because they loathe the aspect of it. That's fine and well, but why do they hate the idea of doing it? Maybe it is because there is a resentment that "As soon as I clean it, the kids will mess it up again..." or maybe, "Why is it me who always has to clean it?". A student may "hate" to do homework and put it off till the last minute. But what is the reason for the hate? Maybe there is a limiting belief that the student fears failure. or maybe the student fears judgement of his or her peers. Those reasons could easily throw someone out of vibrational alignment.

So what happens in the case of the student doing homework is that the student forces himself to do the work. When that happens, the work becomes tedious. It seems to take forever to finish. The student doesn't put forth his best effort and ultimately gets a less than perfect grade. This result then causes the student to hate homework even more. The student then procrastinates the next time, or worse, gives up all together. The Student will say, "I was too tired." or "I didn't have time to finish." or "I didn't understand the assignment". But once again, it is just an excuse that covers a resistance.

How does this happen? How does our resistance cause laziness? It boils down to the difference between Forced Action and Inspired Action.

Okay... So How do I become inspired?

The best way to do this is to align your energies before you set out to accomplish your goal. If you want to align your energies, you must first change the way you view your task. Remember, to change outward circumstances, you must make changes within yourself

Your "perfect self" wants to be happy. That is the ultimate goal. Happiness is what will align your energies. You are not happy when you are lazy or procrastinating. That just weighs on you, causes you to think about how much you "hate" it, which in turn attracts even more negative vibe... more of that feeling of dread, which is what you really hate. So you have to change your thinking. You have to begin to look at it from the point of how you will feel when the house is clean. Or how you will feel when your homework is turned in and you get that perfect grade. You have to align your energies with the end result. Doing so will inspire you to action. Then the Universe will line up the energies needed to help you accomplish your ultimate goal, which is to feel good.

When you become practiced at this, you will take on your tasks with enthusiasm and energy. You will take on the tasks with confidence in knowing that the end result will bring you the happiness that you desire. You won't feel the need to motivate yourself because you will no longer be forcing your actions.

Happy Aligning!
